Red lentils, football and split

Red lentils are traded whole with the husk, as dehulled whole 'football' lentils and as split halves. Canada and Australia grow most of the red lentils in world trade, while Türkiye processes local and imported crops into football and split grades and sells them across the Middle East. Buyers include pulse importers, dal mills, wholesalers, packers and soup makers in the Gulf, Iraq, South Asia and East Africa. Prices depend on Canadian and Australian crop size, Indian import duties and demand, carry-in stocks, the Turkish lira for Turkish processed grades and container freight. We offer football and split red lentils as spot containers or term contracts with monthly shipments, on a CFR Jebel Ali basis.
