- Minimum order: One 20ft container

Caustic soda flakes are solid sodium hydroxide, a basic alkali used in soap and detergent making, textile processing, alumina refining, paper, food processing and water treatment. Flakes are made by evaporating the liquid caustic produced in chlor-alkali plants, and exports come mainly from China, Saudi Arabia, India and Iran. Buyers include soap and detergent makers, textile mills, chemical distributors and water treatment contractors. Price depends on chlor-alkali operating rates, which are tied to chlorine and PVC demand, Chinese export offers, energy costs and freight. Chinese export offers held at about USD 410 to 420 per tonne FOB through autumn 2026. Caustic soda is class 8 dangerous goods, so lots move in containers under DG rules. We offer it CFR Jebel Ali or direct to the destination port, by full container load.
