Sultana raisins, Turkish Aegean Type 9

Turkish sultanas from the Manisa and Izmir area are the benchmark for seedless raisins in Europe and the Middle East. Type 9 is the most traded grade: large, even berries, washed, cap stems removed, lightly oiled and ready to use. Türkiye competes mainly with Iran, Uzbekistan and the United States, while Chinese and Indian raisins sit at the lower end of the market. Buyers are importers, bakeries, cereal and snack makers, and dried fruit packers. The price moves with the August and September harvest, TMO buying, the split of the crop by residue and quality, and the lira. The 2026 crop is larger and export offers reset lower in October. We offer Type 9 FOB Izmir and can source Iranian golden or green raisins and Uzbek sultanas on request, as spot lots or term contracts.
